Sun Chaser
Oh dear Substack, what to write? Once again, I feel the impulse to prod. To ponder. To wonder. To wander. To shake things up again from which my daily routine is starting to take deep hold here in the forest. Alas, the soft luminous rays of autumns light has once again returned here in the northern hemisphere. And as cycles often rhyme, there is a familiarity to the moment - a stirring - a remembrance of the palpable shifts of the soft golden light that naturally accompanies the suns passage along the ecliptics predictable path.
Scorpios light now filled with longer nights, first sight of morning light and I am out the door. For I am a Sun Chaser by nature forevermore. As I write to you, I am humored and humbled as I find myself intermittently typing with a small dose of fire today. For nestled in the palm of my hand rests a BRIGHT bite sized piece of the Sun - a slice of Ginger Root - the Sun’s natural light. haha! ;) I know, I know, what an oddity to share. But that I am.
I love being warm and well when the sun falls low sinking down below the mountains ridge at that 3 o'clock hour soon to be 2ish o'clock, I am at peace knowing that I can count on the Sun any time of day, day or night.
Ginger - a slice of the Sun - gets the energy flowing, whether by tea, nibble or essence in spirit and in body! For ginger naturally circulates the blood and warms the heart. I love Ginger for a gentle heat, as it's not a super dry and hot heat like Mars plants can be - for that I would add a touch of cayenne (which I love at times). Ginger (fresh ginger) promotes a more fixed sustainable heat - resembling the glow of the SUN at a campfire on a mid summers night. And well at this time of year, that sounds pretty nice!
Sun Salutations to you!
